Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Defend Key Support as ETF Inflows Return

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP are holding critical support levels on Wednesday as institutional demand returns via spot ETFs, even as upside momentum remains limited by key moving averages and cautious risk sentiment.

Bitcoin continues to trade above $64,000 after facing rejection near $65,000, while Ethereum defends $1,900 and XRP reclaims $1.00. Early-week gains have stalled as investors assess geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, leaving the broader market in consolidation.

Crypto market sentiment remains in Fear territory according to the Fear & Greed Index, but is showing signs of recovery. The index improved to 41 on Wednesday, up from 27 in the previous week. A continued uptick in sentiment could support risk-on behavior and increase the odds of a more sustained recovery across major assets.

Institutional flows have turned into a key support factor:

Bitcoin ETFs Extend Inflow Streak: Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded $189 million in inflows on Tuesday, following $298 million on Monday. The renewed streak comes despite heightened US-Iran tensions after the expiration of their June Memorandum of Understanding on Monday. US President Donald Trump noted on Tuesday that talks with Iran are underway or scheduled.

Ethereum ETFs See Accelerating Demand: Ethereum spot ETFs posted their second consecutive day of inflows, with $71 million added on Tuesday, more than double Monday’s $31 million. Cumulative inflows rose to $11.56 billion from $11.48 billion.

XRP ETFs Return to Green: XRP spot ETFs saw nearly $6 million in inflows on Tuesday after two days of muted activity. Cumulative inflows stand at $1.52 billion, with net assets under management at $941 million.

Bitcoin Technical Analysis: Upside Capped, Downside Supported

Bitcoin trades above $64,000 but remains below a cluster of Exponential Moving Averages, keeping the near-term bias capped. Price sits just under the 50-day EMA, while the 100-day and 200-day EMAs continue to act as overhead supply.

The spot price holds above the Bollinger middle band support at $63,889. The daily Relative Strength Index hovers around 52, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence shows a slightly positive reading, signaling tentative buying interest without a clear bullish breakout.

Key Levels to Watch for BTC:

Resistance: 50-day EMA at $64,372, Upper Bollinger Band at $65,337, 100-day EMA at $66,366, 200-day EMA at $72,128
Support: Bollinger middle band at $63,889, Lower Bollinger support at $62,442, Trendline support at $56,666

Analysts at K33 Research noted: “Current holders remain reluctant to sell, while external investors remain reluctant to buy, leaving BTC virtually petrified over the summer. At the same time, leverage is gradually expanding, echoing the classic pattern where prolonged stability eventually breeds instability. The range may persist for a few more weeks, but the longer it does, the larger the eventual move is poised to be.”

Altcoins Outlook: Ethereum and XRP Hold Key Support

Ethereum Defends $1,900: Ethereum trades above $1,900, capped below the 100-day EMA at $1,920 and the 200-day EMA at $2,109, maintaining a mildly bearish near-term bias. The 50-day EMA at $1,872 and a rising trendline near $1,885 are providing underlying bid support. The RSI remains above 57 in neutral-positive territory, while MACD is flattening below zero, indicating waning downside momentum.

Key Levels to Watch for ETH:

    Resistance: $1,920 (100-day EMA), $2,109 (200-day EMA)
    Support: $1,900 (pivot), $1,885 (trendline), $1,872 (50-day EMA)

XRP Reclaims $1.00 Psychological Level: XRP holds above $1.00 but remains below the 50-, 100-, and 200-day EMAs, maintaining a bearish structure. Momentum is modestly constructive, with RSI recovering toward 40 and MACD edging toward the zero line, suggesting easing selling pressure.

Key Levels to Watch for XRP:

    Resistance: $1.06 (downtrend break), $1.07 (50-day EMA), $1.15 (100-day EMA), $1.34 (200-day EMA)
Support: $1.00 (psychological), followed by recent swing lows.

    Conclusion

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP are successfully defending their key psychological and technical support levels – $64,000, $1,900 and $1.00 respectively – as institutional capital returns through spot ETFs. The back-to-back inflows into BTC and ETH funds signal that institutional demand is stabilizing despite lingering geopolitical risks.

However, the technical picture remains capped. All three assets continue to trade below their 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs, with RSI and MACD showing only tentative improvement. This suggests the current move is more of a supported consolidation than the start of a strong uptrend.q
